He has received fellowships from the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma and the MacArthur Foundation. His feature work examines court systems, carceral conditions, and healthcare access. A graduate of Northwestern's Medill School, Greer previously worked as a criminal justice reporter for the Chicago Reporter.
